"Gandalf Vs. Sauron, trust me, sauron is cooler"

No, I don't "trust you"... as a matter of fact, I beg to differ.

Yay, hooray, sauron is a big baddie armored and armed to the teeth (at least the recent cinematic portrayal of him).

Big deal.

He's a powerful paranoid meglamaniac walled up in a tower living in constant fear. His motivations are purely selfish. His actions bring neither joy nor satisfaction to himself, or anyone else for that matter. He is alone. Isolated and alienated.

Real World Sauron's include the likes of Stalin and Hitler.

Gandalf is a wise, old man freely able to wander the world as he see's fit. Gandalf has friends such as Bilbo and Frodo to enjoy his time and experiences with. His motivations are altruistic, for the betterment of life for all. His actions bring joy to himself and others.

Real world "Gandalf's" include the likes of MLK and Mandela.

Personally, I'd rather be lumped in with the second group.

You'll have to excuse me and hear me out, but personally, of those 4 real people you mentioned, Hitler was my favorite, not because I prescribe to his beliefs, but because he was so intelligent, he was able to mold the people into a machine, wield their hopelessness into a weapon more powerful then the rest of Europe.

Also, if you think about it, Hitler got us out of the depression, he didn't mean to, but without a threat such as him, without a need for military production, our economy would have remained stagnant.

I still Agree Gandolf is much cooler than Sauron ;)
go whomp that Balrog

So what you're saying is, as an American, you prefer Hitler's contributions to our society more than MLK's?

(obc's head explodes)

I usually prefer playing good, but sometimes... sometimes... the bloodlust calls out to me... and I respond with wanton slaughter! ;)

Evil is so much better, but they are so biased to it. The evil guys always have the cool ideas and stuff, yet the loose to honesty and courage. I am a DBZ fan, but i don't have cable, and I've only seen up to when goku first becomes super saiyan, so i don't know a lot. But Vegeta could kick Goku's but. I saw a recent epsiode, and i have a question. If goku is dead, how come he returns like ten times. It was the episode where they meet him for this tournament thingy, it was about 6 months ago though.

well i always take good because when your good ,
the game is mutch more better i mean you get things from people , and there are small details that you dont see or do or get when your evil .

so good is = more gaming
evil is fun for about 30Minutes

Hey Sir Exxon, you ever tried TDD? The Anti-Paladin is well worth the time. I'm a Paladin player primarily as well (although being a Drow thief is pretty cool).

Gandalf vs Saruman? I believe Gandalf The White would wipe the floor with Saruman, no bets please.

i wasn`t talking about Saruman. i was talking about SAURON, who i think is cooler than gandalf(though, as i can see, most of you disagree). oh, and DBZ= Dragon Ball Z which, IMHO, is by far the best cartoon in cartoon network.

oldbittercraig, i read your descriptions and i still like sauron more. OMG,is there any cure for my disease?

oldbittercraig 03-28-2002 12:37 PM

A cure for "your disease?" Sure, reality and maturity.
