Just a quick question... your PC is running on WinXP, is it not? Have you patched it to either SP1 or SP2?

I'm running on..Windows 98 SE..486...Patched 1.22....... Wizards and Warriors..like other older games..had trouble reading the files..so.....Several posts about Revenant indicated the same problem with XP reading the files...so I installed it on the older maching .....that probably explains why there was no tab for me to find...........

LOL, silly of us for not reading your second post more carefully. If it is a DOS game you are trying to execute on 98SE, you might want to boot your PC under "pure" DOS command.

Otherwise, most games that were designed to run on Win95 should work well on 98SE as well, at least that was based on my past experience.

To activate "pure" DOS mode in 98SE:

1. Reboot PC.
2. Hit "F8" before Windows started to load and select "command prompt only"
3. Load DOS mouse driver.
4. Run the game.

Just make sure you have allocated the right type of memory for the game. Some DOS game will require certain amount of Expanded Memory (EMM386) whereas some are designed to run on DOS Extender, which only requires high memory (HIMEM) to be active.

I was a little too lazy to look it up for the game earlier. Now that I have read the review from Gamespot, I seems to recall what game it is. Never bought it because back then I wasn't too keen on playing one of those "Diablo clone" games.

Here is the review from Gamespot.

But the review didn't mention about any major stability problem... I guess you might want to update your graphic card's driver or something.

Re: Revenant crash anyone

Hey guys, I know this forum pretty much ended a while back, but I have a question for anyone who might be able to help me... I'm running Windows XP x32, and am trying to play Revenant.. the game installed great, but when I go to play, I click on 'Run Revenant', there is a slight pause and then I get a message saying there was an error, and asked me if I wanted to report it to Microsoft. So that's where I stand right now. Can anyone help?

Did you try to play it in compatibility mode?

I was trying to help him hash that out last night via PM. It didn't seem to work for him. I do remember it working on my version of XP, but I seem to recall some difficulty getting it running. That was a couple years ago though.
