I would expect a PC port if anything -- after all, why would M$ oppose a PC port? I have seen no information regarding a port for anything, though, and currently it is only an X-box game.

Tonight I got drunken master style -- which is cool, but which I probably won't use much. Maybe in another game. That, btw, is another facet or variable to consider in replayability. My current character favors the sword style, the ice magic style, the Heavenly Wave support style, and the Tiger martial style. However, I will make sure my next character has the Legendary Strike style as a basic martial style, and fire as a basic magic style, and staff as a weapon style, and a different support style.

In other words, there is truly enough to experiment with in this game that replayability is high. Very high.

GB: If Jade Empire sells well for the Xbox, is there anything that would necessarily restrict you from porting the game to the PC? If there would ever be a PC version of the game, are there any particular features you'd like to tweak or enhance given the opportunity to take advantage of more powerful PCs?

Ray: We haven’t announced any plans pertaining to a Jade Empire PC version, but there is a possibility we will consider a PC version in the future. If we do decide to develop a PC version, we will be sure to make the interface PC-friendly; we’d ensure a high-quality product as a result.

I found additional info on the Bioware forums for JE.

When is the PC version coming out?
-
There are no plans for a PC version. Unlike Knights of the Old Republic which was designed from the ground up to be on both the PC and the Xbox, Jade Empire is being designed only for the Xbox and has no considerations for the PC. It will be an exclusive Xbox-only title.
-
-
Why are there no plans to port this game to the PC? Have you sold out to Microsoft?
-
Jade Empire has always been designed as an Xbox exclusive game. Bioware researched heavily into what would be the best system for Jade Empire. We considered PC and all the consoles and chose Xbox as it is the best system for Jade Empire. We were not paid anymore than any other regular video game contract.
-
-
But I read an interview where someone at BioWare said you might consider porting Jade Empire to PC some time after it launches on Xbox. Does this mean Jade Empire is coming out on PC?
-
What Greg mentioned is that BioWare is open to the possibility of making a PC version in the future. This might mean that if the Xbox game sells as well as we hope it will maybe we'll make a PC version. Or maybe if we make a sequel to Jade Empire in years to come that the sequel could be a PC version or a dual platform release. Or maybe the good folks at Microsoft (who any decision about a PC version, or a sequel or a dual release would have to go through) would ask for us to make a PC version because the demand is there.
-
All these are possibilities for the future, but nothing is being worked on for a PC version currently. So might there someday be a PC version? Maybe. But we aren't working on one currently and do not know if we ever will.

Finally got Jade Empire on Friday and was playing all day yesterday, I love this game, there are cool characters, gore, cool fighting, lots of voices, cut scenes and so on.....
Anyways, this game rules, loads quick, looks great, has some damn funny jokes and I didn't finish it in a day :D (which is good)

Anyways, I have just gotten to the Imperial city and was wondering how much further I have to go, I assume I am fairly far, but should I just go adventuring and explore before the game finishes? or am I safe to continue with the story a little bit?

*crossing fingers for a PC version*

If anything, I won't be buying an X-BOX. Not while I'm low on money, and even so, if I had some money to spare I will be buying a Gamecube. Smash Brother Melee and the upcoming Zelda game are just too good to miss.
