. . . . . . . . Understood Trader, I felt the same way when I played BGI. However, after playing BGII and killing one or more dragons (don't want to ruin anything for you) I can say I am glad there weren't any in BGI. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/noncgi/smiles/wow.gif So, if you can, be patient and enjoy BGI (RudeDawg, Ertai, and Jerome all have good points)and then when your finished enjoy the Dragon(s) in BGII. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif ------------------ http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/gallion.gif |
If you really want some dragons in bg1 buy Dsotsc.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS contained in my ramblings
. . . . . . . . . . . . I loved (and still love) BG1. It was my introduction to CRPGs many years after my PnP days! Wandering round the map, not quite sure where to go, not sure what was happening. It really brought back to me why I enjoyed RPGs in the first place. Creating a character from scratch. Not someone who had been around and could take on a pack of goblins blindfold, but someone who saw a lone bandit archer and crapped himself. Then reloaded. Having one magic missile spell. Thinking a wand was the best treasure life could give you. And oh, the maps! The open spaces to wander in! Finding the little quests, finding a childs pet. Reading the description of every scroll you found. Thinking the books were important. Talking to every single NPC you could find, because maybe one of them could tell you something useful. Those were the days... ------------------ http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...les/epona2.gif Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so. I love them both and each has it's on merits which have been mentioned here. One of the reasons I'm playing BG1 right now is that I want to take a charactor all the way through to the end. I'm trying to get as many points as I can. Even after playing BG1 for over two years and BG2 since September (I think), I still enjoy BG1. It's reallyin some ways more enjoyable than BG2. Bg2 can sometimes be a dark place to play, if you know what I mean. You get to reload a lot in BG2!

I thought that BG1 was great. I just finished the game and I'm ready for BG2. I did miss seeing the dragons in 1 but I cant wait until I find them in BG2.I just hope that my roomate loads it up soon so I can start playing it ASAP.Thanks everybody for your help with BG1. There was times when I thought that I would be stuck there forever.

I enjoyed them, equally well.
Each has their thing that they offer. Basically,though...(sorry)...they are the same game...just formatted a little differently. ------------------ http://www.dewa.com/animated/7.gif Larry, Loyal guardian of the OHF Devoted member of the Ironworks Only member of the Elite Bodyguard to Rikard (the fool that takes the bullet) Ertai's back-up Memnoch's chief look-out Member of the Ancients club |
