You own the game and couldn't make up what we were talking about by reading this thread?

Most frustrating bug(s); for some reason, when Dak'kon reached a certain level, his spellcasting and THACO became weird. He kept on missing and could only hit on Criticals. When I turned on the To Hit Rolls display, it showed that he had a whopping -70 to -90 THACO penalty... everybody else could roll as per normal. I have no idea what caused this, but it was pretty bad because Dak'kon was supposed to be my main tank after Morte. With Dak'kon out of commission, fighting in the Lower Planes (especially the Deva) became even harder. When Dak'kon casts any spell that increases STR, it reduces STR instead... this was very irritating.

Download the patch. The unpatched game is known for rollover bugs like this.

YAY! great game.

i played it thru 2 times as a fighter and thot it was a good game. but when i played it the 3rd time as a mage, putting most of my points into INT and CHA, i discovered it was a GREAT game. that alone unlocked tons of conversational options that i didn't even have a clue were there - not to mention all the flashbacks! i saw there was a very intriguing, deep story going on. my visit to ravel alone took me several hours to play thru, because all we did was talk and talk, and i kept getting stat increases while talking to her. i'm replaying it now, beside the whole BG saga, just because i'm dying to talk to Entropy again! :D (yknow, they play that PST teaser movie when you're installing BG1 and well, how can i resist?)

V***V

Being the ignorant foreigner here. I always forgot what 'Entropy' was. And I'm not talking about the Golem, but about the meaning of the damn word ;) Could someone please enlighten me....

The first thing I did after installing the game was to install the 1.1 patch. Unless there is a newer version out there?

Entropy is the destruction of things over time. A human body will age and die. A sword will rust and break, eventually becoming dust. Things like that.

Uh-uh Entropy is the energy needed to keep a system going. So if you got positive entropy LESS energy is needed to keep the system going. A perpetuum mobile therefore has the best entropy (no energy is needed to keep it going).

Thanks guys My dictionary was very unclear about this.
