Depends on what type of monks. Japanese Buddist Fanatical Monk from sengoku period uses Yari ( Spear ) / Staff / Katana ( Long Swords )/ Muskets ( Marksmanship, the musket can be download from the net ) . Some are unamoured and some uses armour.
Or you want Shaolin monks from China. They use Swords/Staff/Fist/Spear. But they are unarmored. Or you want tibetan monks, Swords/Staff/Fist/Spear/Hammer. Also unarmored.

Thanks for the prognostications Radek! :D

And cheers for the link, Stratos!
I've downloaded that monk mod as a backup measure for later on, if things get too difficult.

I'm just going to develop my character naturally and see how things go. I've decided to keep light armour, but in the interests of keeping as light and monkly 'unarmoured' as possible, will only wear the body armour itself. I'll be on the look out for that glass armour for sure!
Interestingly, I found some raw glass during my travels in the dwarven puzzle box dungeon...can you make the armour yourself or get someone to build it for you perhaps?

I quite enjoyed wandering that particular dungeon, though those spectres were pretty vicious.
I think I still need a levitation potion or spell to get past a blocked water area, hopefully it'll be worth going back for.

Level 7 now, hurray! :D

Keep in mind, though, that if you want to go pure unarmored you'll still need at least one piece of armour (preferably something small like a glove or a bracer) to make unarmored work at all. A bug, you see. ;)

In a plain game, you cannot forge an armor, neither you yourself, nor by means of someboty else. The Raw Glass pieces are ingredients, which you can use in potions.

You can find a mod on the web, which allows you to forge armor. Your success in forging will depend on your Armorer skill. If you install the mod, you will be able to use Raw Glass for making the Glass Armor. Beware! Glass Armor is a high level armor and it will need a very high value for the Armorer skill!
