recipe for indestructability:
Daedric Tanto of Indestructability - restores 30 to 50 health points every time you hit an opponent!!

So far it's proving too powerful, even with a lowly 25 short sword skill (I thought I'd enchant the tanto to test it out before enchanting my daedric kaitana) and is an amazingly easy enchant - charm cost of between 20 and 30.

I'm not sure whether to use it on a Daedric KAitana, especially with a Long Blade skill of 85 - I have a feeling the game will become very boring. I'm even thinking of selling the tanto - it just doesn't seem right to find fights that easy.

I have a Kaitana of Hesitation too, which is quite a good double edged enchant - the lower level opponents are paralyzed for 9 seconds on contact - the higher level opponents are sometimes paralysed, sometimes resist magic and even more treachorously sometimes reflect the enchant back onto my character - who ends up being frozen for 9 seconds himself (needs a fair number of cure paralysis potions in the back pack when using it to take out Dremora Lords and Golden SAints - I've not travelled far enough in the game to test it out on anything else)

I tried something similar with a dai-katana, but it runs low on charges when I use it in bloodmoon (plenty of blows to kill any single enemy). Alos it tries to heal you even whene there is no need, thus wasting a charge.

Yesterday I tried enchanting with the bound armor/weapon spells and found that an amulet could hold all the 4 pieces of armor (cuirass, helm, boots and gauntlets) as constant effect. It's a kind of discount daedric armor with some good enchantments and best of all, it weights absolutely nothing. Such an amulet would be nice on a magic/stealth character. I haven't figured out what armorclass (if any) it belongs to.
I also enchanted a ring with the 4 weapons as constant effect. When equipped 1 weapon is placed in the hand, the rest in the inventory. The weapons (axe, longsword, dagger and bow) are also daedric but not discount versions and again with good enchantments (+10 to weapon skill) and weights nothing. A nice collection to choose from.

And no repair worries.

The towershields has the highest enchantment rates in the game so I wouldn't waste that on levitate. Use an exquisite ring or amulet for that. I would enchant the towershield with a fortify strength spell constant effect.

About a weapon with damage on self and absorb magicka, I have no idea if that would work.

CONSTANT EFFECT

Here are a couple of mine, not very creative, but incredibly useful:

Lord's Skirt (Exquisite Skirt)
Restore Health 2pts.
Constant Effect

Lord's Shirt (Exquisite Shirt)
Restore Health 2pts.
Constant Effect

These subtle garments make Restore Health Potions almost useless. I'm thinking of adding a Lord's Pants to accentuate the regeneration, but with a certain amulet my character's already regenerating 5HP every second...

Also, Shield Constant Effect Items are neato.

Shield-Arm (Daedric gauntlet)
Shield 2-10pts.
Constant Effect

When I put it on, I got 9pts. Shield and it doubled my mage's meager AC!
Another interesting effect to try I suppose...

Flame of the Altmer

Ebony Staff
(cast when strikes)
weakness to fire 15 to 20

fire damage 15 to 20

poison 5 points for 3 seconds

absorb health 10 points

Am utterly baffeled as to how you make a 'constant effect' item: when you run the 'duration' [if thats what its called] to the max, the price goes into the millions, and it still doesn't say 'constant effect'. Is it by doing it yourself? How do you do that? Would love some boots of blinding speed without the loss of visual acuity...

You can only use the souls from Golden saints and Ascended sleepers to make constant effect items and only in Grand soulgems.

If you pay for getting something enchanted, get the enchanters disposition up to 100 and you'll save a lot of money.

If you want to equip the boots of blinding speed without being blinded, buy 5 potions of exquisite magic resistance, drink them and equip the boots. You'll resist the negative effect as long as you keep the boots on.
