I do get multipliers on everything but luck. So, with the spells that do nothing, I can get multipliers on willpower, intelligence and personality. Good shit. Tried it yesterday, works like a charm, for me anyway.

Thanx everyone, I am now a warlock and getting dirty secrets from the lizzard in Balmora. He he.

Grungi 11-01-2002 07:27 AM

luck has no multipliers unfortunately :(

my problem atm is no multipliers to hit 90 in any mage related skill so either i gotta use up the rest of my levels or heres a question:

can i temporarily boost my int when asking a trainer for a int based train just so i can increase it?

Odin 11-01-2002 09:28 AM

Hmm, I think you can? I have some magic item that gives plus 20 or 30 in personality, and that has made it possible for me train "illusion" up higher than my real unboosted stat would allow. Soo, could/should work?

Goto anyone who makes spells and get one point "cantraps" made of all the spells in the magical skill areas that you wish to advance in.

Then goto a dungeon that regenerates unleveled monsters...like the sewers of Vivee and cast the spells on the rats. Spends a few hours down there a day and your skills will grow rapidly.

You may have to kill off a few higher level NPCs that hang out down there but they will not return...only the rats.

Also as you level you will see blighted and diseased rats. Never miss an opportunity to cure them. Makes em easier to kill too.

Since their rats you can frenzy em...calm em down...make em strong...make em weak...make em faster...turn em invisible (for a few seconds)..who cares they shouldn't be able to hurt you much. Once you exhaust one sewer move onto the next canton and so on and so forth.

Can be fun and can be tedious...

...or just pay for it.

multipliers DONT work if you set up a warrior char least for intelligence and willpower which are the crucial ones if you dont have int or willpower in ANY of your prime attributes (like me i dont) then you CANNOT gain a multiplier and will get 1 at most each time in int and willpower

That's definitely wrong, Grungi: read my post above... you can get a 2x multiplier by simply training a misc skill... you can't get more than that, but there is a multiplier. So don't waste your major/minor skills on something you won't use...

the easiest way to get better stats is to hit this key --> "~" they i the box that opens you type in "player->set__(stat you want to increase__), # you want to increase it to.

THis way you can avoid time consumeing practise or expensive training.

To raise your stats:

1)Multiplier bonuses work as follow:
Each skill has a governing attribute (e.g Alchemy = intelligence).
Whenever you level one point in the skill, a multiplier bonus 0.5 is counted. When you level up, the bonuses for each attribute are counted and you get a multiplier bonus which is equal to the sum, rounded down or up (I don't remember): E.g. you get 3 skill points in long blade => your strength bonus will be 2x.

But: this only works for major/minor skills - miscellaneous skills don't cumulate bonuses: if you raise one of your misc skills (e.g. mysticysm = willpower), you will get a 2x bonus. No more.

This is not entirely true if you have the first patch for the game (sorry XBox usres :( ) Misc skill contirbute equally to ability multipliers.

Also

10 --> 5x
8-9 --> 4x
5-7 --> 3x
2-4 --> 2x
0-1 --> 1x

Any skill combo increase that affects a governing skill contributes.
For ex: increasing Med Armor 5 ranks and Hvy Armor 5 ranks will give you 5x multiplier for endurance.

You might want to create a spell that is multi effect, with effects from diff schools all with min posible effects/duration to increase multiple skills.

Hope this helps.

Oh... so I'm sorry, Grungi... you have Xbox, don't you?

Harkoliar 11-03-2002 12:39 AM

i had no prob with the boots of blinding speed since i had 50% magic resistance for being a breton. but just make a ring or something to boost your resistance...being a mage, i also made conjuration training spell summon skeleton warrior for 1 sec for 1 mana... boost up conjuration skill up in no time.. and best of all no need for target and also increases your intellegence

Rageheart 11-03-2002 10:59 AM

just eat a bunch of foods, that should raise your alchemy skill
