I made a ring with +24 to strength

lethoso 06-02-2002 10:03 AM

a question, i killed a golden saint, and it is now sitting happily in a soul gem. If i wanted to enchant something with continuous levitate, what is the least amount of levitate i should put on it?

slackerboy 06-02-2002 01:25 PM

if i remember correctly, when i used one of those really expensive amulets which gives 140 enchant points and tried to make a constant effect levitate item, the max i could get was 8 points of levitate which i didnt actually try, because it didnt seem like it was worth it.

Has anyone found an item with 150 enchant points? thats what i really need, then i can quit carrying potions all together. I have rings and trinkets to do everything i ever need.

Slacker,

The problem comes from dual-enchantments. You can put multiple enchantments on something, but the X/Y costs are prohibitive. I've had to give up on my Daderic Armour "shirt." Sure, it's exquisite, but after two armor types are put on...

So, I'm going to go with a "Bound Curiass" for 249 seconds. It'll bump my armor from 9 to 30... The rest will be standard armor.

the sponge is confused, how the hell do you enchant ? do you need to speak to some one about it , or can you enchant stuff yourself ? and this soul gem stuff, how do you go into battle and select it to collect the soul of the creature or person you wanna kill, ? CONFUSED.............. you will be !!!!!!!!!!!!

ps, spent the entire night last nite talking to two orcs in some mansion mear vivic, just to get my speach craft to 100, im off now to jump on the spot to raise my acrobatics skill, is any one else as sad as me ?

truly yours,

SpongeBob,

DIY enchant

1. You need a decent skill in enchantment (60+) and high INT rating (60+) and plenty of luck or you will fail a lot of times. That my advice, download the "enchant_success.esp" to save you a whole lot of headache. You will still fail though, but you chances of success is increase dramatically with this plug-in.

2. You need a soul gem with a soul trapped inside.

3. You need a thing in to the enchant (armor, weapons are clothes)

4. You need to purchase the spell effect for the enchantment. For example, if you want to enchant a ring that heals, you will need to purchase any healing spells first.

Pay for Enchant
1. You need a soul gem with a soul trapped inside.
2. You need a thing in to the enchant (armor, weapons are clothes)
3. You need to purchase the spell effect for the enchantment. For example, if you want to enchant a ring that heals, you will need to purchase any healing spells first.
4. You will need to plenty of money to pay up for the enchantment. Depending on the enchantment you want, the price might be quite costly.

Trap a soul in you empty soul gem
1. Each soul gem type have certain capacity, the higher the quality of the soul gem, the higher capacity it has. Higher level monsters will yield higher capacity and hence, they will only go into soul gems of a higher quality (Greater or Grand Soul Gem)

2. You need to purchase a Soul Trap spell or get a weapon with Soul Trap enchantment.

3. Cast soul trap during combat and hack the monster into pieces. if the Soul Trap spell is still active and if you do have the require soul gem to hold the monster's soul, the soul of the creature that you have just killed will be trapped into the soul gem.

How to enchant

DIY method:
1. right click to bring out your inventory window and equip any trapped soul gem. This will activate the enchant window. Select the item to be enchanted and the spell effect. Notice that at the bottom left of the windows there is a little box labelled as "Cast when strike" or "Cast when used". This is the box that determines how the enchantment is used. Obviously for weapons, "Cast when Strike" is a more suitable effect. BTW, only Grand Soul Gem with 80K of Soul will only have the "constant effect" option enabled.

2. Notice that you cost of casting the effect must not exceed your soul gem's total charges or the enchantment will not work. Therefore you can forget about enchanting a 100-100 fire damage with your petty soul gem. Please also take note that each item (weapons, armor or clothes) have its own enchantment capacity. So, if you have a Grand Soul Gem (Golden Saint), you will not be able to enchant 100-100 fire damage because you Imperial Broadsword has only a mere enchantment capacity of 7.

Pay for enchanment:
Almost same as above except that you choose the "enchant" option in the NPC's dialog window. The NPC enchanter will never fail but the he/she will charge you for the enchantment service and they usually don't come cheap.

Hope that helps.... ;)

Also, Soul Trap only works on Monsters. Not regular NPCs (Commoners etc).

Well I did at one point jump off guard towers on a regular basis to boost acrobatics.

Ok, my favorites:

Steel Katana - Casts (when strikes) Soul Trap for 5 seconds on touch and Damage Health to 30? (maybe 20) points on touch.

Ebony Longsword - Casts (when strikes) Restore Health 10 points on self and Restore Fatigue 20 Points on self. Can fight all day with this one as the casting cost was kept intentionally low.

Daedric Mask (helmet) of Fear - Constant effect Restore Health 3 points/second. It works better than it sounds.

Orcish Tower Shield - Restores all 8 attributes 30 points (Strength, Int, etc...) when used.

Exquisit Amulet - Summon Golden Saint (for use with Steel Katana & Grand Soul Gems)

And a variety of other gizmos and gadgets. My poor Orc hasn't slept more than 1 hour at a time since I made that gauntlet that restores fatigue using a Golden Saint's soul. Can't remember the last time I actually had to use a healing scroll or potion.

Also, for kicks, I made a long sword that healed the target to see how long I could beat on the same enemy before killing them. It was a fun way to train my weapon skills up.

so far i've only made a nordic broadsword with soultrap and an ebony helm of levitaion, wich has constant levetation at 1 point (mixed with the boots of speed and i can go anywhere)

Kakero 07-15-2002 03:37 AM

here I go, :D

Daeric lavitation boots = levitate spell.
Daeric Healing shield = +100 to hp per cast
Excusite Shirt of stamina regeneration = +1 constant stamina
Excusite pants of stamina healing = +5 to stamina per cast ( I use this just in case )

that's all that I enchant, the rest are found from my exploration.
