I had trouble with the mind flayers at first, but then devised a nice strategy involving boots of speed and Yoshi's traps...i'll leave it at that
I think Peewee is right, it depends what level you're at. I had heaps of trouble with the sewer slavers at first, and Samia's crew. It's just a matter of trying things until you find what works. Also....I HATE umber hulks....but they hate cloudkills more |
The mindflayers under the temple District are the hardest! It took me try after try to do... In the end I took them on one by one!

I'll also say mindflayers. Damn they are hard.
Use the right tactic and Liches + Kangaxx are done in no time. Irenicus is a total wuzz. Dragons a little harder but a high level party kills them with ease. |
When they paralise and mind controll half your party ..... OUCH!
|
Yes Illithid can be annoying, if you don't have the right tactic.
I used to become "Braindead" everytime. Now I dispatch them easily with 1.) Backstabbing 2.) Missile attacks, while runnin in circles with a decoy-char. 3.) Missile attack from single char immune to Hold Person/Cunfusion, while being on the run from them with Boots of speed. |
Fiirkrag is hard no matter what lvl u are!

<blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by Darkscar:

I had bigger problems with Lady Adalon. |
The planar sphere quest can be damn tough at the wrong level.
|
Yeah,
Especially the demons are extremely tough enemies. |
Ther are a lot of hard fights in the game, but you aleays find a strategy to win.
I find that fights hard when more than half my party gets killed. It happened once with a very easy fight. Its when uou're in the planar prison to free Haer Dalis. The warden confused 4 characters of mine. So I only had Jan and me left (an elven archer). I had no dispell magic, so i attacked with my bow and Jan was killed in no time versus three salamander. I finished the fight with my archer alone. It costed me a lot of arrows of piercing, but I don't care, I steal them. So that was my moste party killing fight. My party was slain a lot of times, but I don't count those times, cause you reload and get prepared. |
