Sounds interesting Foo. Maybe I can give it a shot but still I'm undecided about which class to have for solo. Sorceror sounds good, sounds challenging! I want more than hack and slash, just melee combat; so thief/mage or thief/mage/fighter sounds good but also I may miss cleric spells so cleric/mage is another option. Or cleric/mage/fighter. but in this way you lose xp's lots of! for being multiclassed. your comments?

I'm soloing an elven Thief/Mage. I don't miss the clerical spells... with rings of regeneration and self-buff spells, and all the potions I can find, I don't have trouble with healing.

In ToB, multi-class characters are more powerful than dual-class. Can Projected Images set Spike Traps? I know that Simulacrums can ... :D

actually FOO, i took the experience cap off, because after playing through so many damn times, im tired of the limit. so now i can go to a level 50/50/50 fighter/mage/thief!!! WOOHOO, woe to all who get in HIS path, lol.

50/50/50!!! That is just insane!! So insane I'll have to give it a go!!

As far as cleric/druid spells, I haven't missed them so far. Healing is just a matter of resting (which can take quite a LONG time, but so what?), and eventually I'll get some type of regenrating ring (Gaxx etc).

What I will miss, though are things like Neg Plane Protection, Chaotic Commands, Death Ward. So far, I have avoided contact with anything that would require those spells ( sided with Bodhi, haven't done Shadow Lord quest for Umar Hills yet). But, I figure once I get the upgraded Mace of Disruption or Amulet of Power, I'll be OK for any level-drain type of attacks, and most other undead. Then, once I get the reflecting cloak on the way to the Underdark, gauths/beholders will be easy. Also, there is a certain amulet available in the Underdark (in the beholder area I think) , as well as several potions in the mind flayer area that will protect from illithd brain-drain. Because I don't have to SHARE any of this cool stuff, it will just be a matter of equipping the right items for each encounter. Also, I figure Spell Immunity can make up for some of the protective Cleric spells.
