would it be too terribly hard for me to rejoin with a character with less... baggage, Sir Morguerat will be a background character at this point and his story will largely be played out mostly away from the group, and since the party needs a good tank, and another magic user never hurts, I present for your approval,
Elethias Felshner 9/9 bladesinger (F/M) Elven Chain +2 Singing Blade (longsword +2/+3vs dwarves) longsword of highest quality (self made, value approx~250gp) 50 "special" caltrops (actually 1" spiked boxes with fire trap cast on them at 7th lvl, when stepped on they shatter and cause fire trap damage +1d2 for spikes) 17str 16dex 14con 17int 9wis 13chr wpn prof long sword x2 bladesong style x3 slots (2 required for basic ability 1 for style mastery) single weapon style x1 dagger Elethias is a former commander of the elven armies above. When a perceived failing of his allowed an elven prince to be captured, and subsequently tortured and polymorphed into a drider, Elethias was banished for a span of not less than 400 years, he has served 50 of the years of his term and went delving into the earth in search of duergar (his sword demanded an amount of dwarven blood equal in pints to the number of years it would wait before being sated again, as most duergar are evil the best place to whet the blades bloodthirst was a settlement of evil dwarves, the divinations he cast led him to near the deep gnome village in his quest, where he silently witness the massing and surging of the hordes. if this'll work I'll rewrite the history and write him in, if not I'll be happy to make any adjustments needed |
Morgie... I am okay with it if Cyril is. I would prefer you NOT miss the action, so any character you can bring in that is not uberish is sweet with me. If Cyril has a quarrel about it, then you and he can work it out after this big-@$$ battle. Until then, welcome aboard and get to work! I am giving the permission to take part in the area that I am in control over. I can not guarantee your survival...that will be up to you and Euryale. :D

that is the origin of our current quest, LoF 2 is still on the main page, and LoF 3 is currently under 10 posts, the older threads are lurking around try a search for lord of the forums. |
OOC>>>Just a note: Of course, it is hard to play in the same area that I am managing, but am trying to be fair as I can be. Azrael did it right, where he posted what spell he cast, and I have his spell list to ensure that he can cast it, and then my source book tells me how long it lasts and area of effect etc. Then when I determine what happened, I will post in OOC to let you know the result of the spell and all that. I also have the NWN module open with little avatars for all the monsters and our PCs. Any additions to the party will need to be marked on my map so that I know where to send the monsters so that they can eat you.
RoSs_bg2_rox , I could easily give Morgeraut permission to come back in as another character because he was preapproved by Cyril and has been a major part of the story already. You will need to get Cyril to approve of your addition, but thank you for your interest and desire to read the history of the game to get a feel of it! There are so many threads...I bet you will never read them all...and Morgie only gave you the opening of "This" section of the story! We have been having fun with this for a loooong time. |
Morguerat
Just sent a PM your way. The character looks good to me pending a couple tweaks which I've suggested and your giving me a bit more information on what seems to be a sentient sword. I see you haven't lost your touch for creating intriguing characters. |
I participated a long time ago, when Keldorn's Order fought the Modding Mage. (I remember when it all started with you bringing a hidden Dagger into our HQ... Ah, those were the days. :D )
It might be a bit hard to write that character in again, but I can work something out with a new character who is somehow connected to the Paladin I used to be. But, a few questions first. 1. How long after the battle where the Keldorn's Order was destroyed is this? 2. Are any from that time still participating? (Garnet, Morge's Paladin, etc) 3. Lastly, how is what's going on now connected to that time? It's so darn much to read, and in your summary, you didn't say what this "formidable force" was, or how they got to the UD. Let's see if I can answer that.
1. It has been several years since the defeat at the hands of the Modding Mage, the death of the Mage at the hands of the Wind-Gatherer, the birth of the Hunger and the recovery and return of Ziroc's one ring. 2. Only Morguerat (Sir no more) and TAOWolf remain, but the fallen paladin has wandered off by himself and will probably disappear from th ethread for some time. 3. The party gathered to fight the Hunger, which drains magic from the land (and indeed from the one ring). It lies somewhere beneath the ruins of what was once the tower of the modding mage, but these cannot be reached over land or air due to the horrible winds plagueing the area. When a creature of Hunger burst through the soil to attack the party, it left for them an entrance into the Underdark, their only hope of reaching the tower/hunger. Then there's a bit about blind grimlocks and words etched in weapons and also something about gnomes digging for treasure. Oh, and wasn't there a shadow giant around somewhere? I haven't caught up with that part yet. |
Much as I would love to participate (and earlier on, I would have just been able to squeeze it), I cannot guarantee a quick response. I am now back to working from 7.15 am to 8 pm at night daily in the office, and mulling over assignments even when I leave the office.
Anyway, I want to show my support for this game as it is one of the greatest to have appeared in IW, other than the OEW :D |
Dantes was also an important character in the fall of the mages tower, if only for holding off the majoriy of the ground troops with his assault.
