OOC> Sorry i haven't replied. I guess our RP hours are different. I'm on IW around 12:00 Pm to 2 AM U.S eastern Time. Anyway, go ahead n draw ur Pic K T. Jorlon has many different descriptions based on what games I play. I was also thinkin bout the elf and StoneRock too. By the way, Chun Li.... LMAO !!!!!!! Why not though, n a female oughta add some flavor to the Campaign.
IC>
StoneRock- StoneRock raging with fury takes out his warhammer. "Somebody better give me an explanation to whats going on. Darkness has shrouded the Keep, and now a DARK ELF has come to this place!!!!!"

Jorlon- "Easy up StoneRock, I'm sure there is an explanation."
StoneRock-"Ughhh. THERE BETTER BE GOOD ONE."

Magnus- "Ease up my small friend. This fair lady has stumbled upon us. She was with the Dark Knight's forces, before she ran off."

Jorlon- "See StoneRock, there is an explanation."
StoneRock- "Whatever, I think I'll go secure the area. Better than being in this place." With that, StoneRock walks off to a dark area.
Jorlon- "Sigh, I guess there will be no end to him. But I'm glad that everyone is here. Its been a long journey, and I think I'll need some rest. Me and StoneRock have traveled 2 weeks to get here. Here's what happened.
Moondusk City

Jorlon- "Dozens and Dozens of people. Sigh, I think we'll never find this guy."
StoneRock-"But our sources tell us the Knight's Operative is in this city. We have to find him."
Jorlon- "I guess so, but... Wait! That man, he's the one were looking for! What is he doing?!?!?!?

Strange Man- "So, looking for me are you. Like a Butterfly lured into the Spiderweb, the spider goes for its prey. Only this spider is smarter, knowing he can cause more damage with a pyschological attack. HEHEHEHEHEH!!!!! Well Mr. Goody Goody Paladin and Priest, isn't it your duty to protect the innocent with your life? Hmmmph" He smirks, and to great energy balls come from his hand. Everyone runs for there life. "Go on, SAVE THEM!!!!!!" He yells, and he throws them at the ground and teleports away.
Jorlon- "We gotta take cover!!!" Him and StoneRock run and quickly open up an entrance to the sewers, climb down and hide. Many people died, and Jorlon and StoneRock both heard a voice saying that the Dark Knight is his master.
Present Time
Jorlon- "We then decided to travel here, in hope of reuniting everyone. It appears that we are the late ones though. I think I'll go to sleep now. Do you have a bed that I can use Magnus????

K T Ong 07-16-2002 07:04 AM

(ooc: Don't mind if I say it, SecretMaster, but it seems everytime Sir Jorlon comes to Magnus' residence, the first and only thing he can think of is get some sleep.

And very well, I'll do a pic of the paladin according to how I picture him in my mind. Don't worry, I won't make him too ugly. :D )

"It was terrible," sighed Sir Jorlon as he told everyone his story after his short nap, "the sheer number of casualties in the city. The whole trouble was that we ran out of magical power at the wrong time, or else with StoneRock's powerful spells we would have caught and incapacitated the hell-cursed operative and saved the poor civilians." Sir Jorlon turned to look at the dark elf as Rufus scampered to serve everyone a cup of tea. "Who are you anyway, fair maiden? I have yet to know you. I'm Sir Jorlon, arch-paladin of the Order of the Most Radiant Heart."

For a moment the dark elf said nothing but stared rapturously at the paladin. Never before in her life had she met a male human of such incredible beauty -- not just the statuesque figure, the high cheekbones, the sapphire eyes and the long, blond hair, but in addition an intangible beauty of personality radiating from within. Nearby, Fenric scratched his head as he now looked at the elf, now at the paladin. He could sense instinctively that there was something going on between the two, though his undeveloped intellect could not make out what it was.

"Sir Jorlon was asking you a question, wench!" snapped StoneRock. Chun-Li quickly snapped out of her trance.

"StoneRock, please," reproved the paladin. "You're frightening her. Oh, by the way, my lady, this is StoneRock. Do pardon him -- he means well."

"It's nothing," replied Chun-Li with a smile. "You may address me as Chun-Li. I once served the Dark Knight -- unwillingly, be it said. I did so only because of his promises of wealth and power for my family and clan on the condition that I served him. I should have known better than to trust his words -- on one occasion I overheard a conversation between him and one of his generals in which he expressed his intentions to turn my clan and family all into undead foot soldiers. This horrified me -- and I was discovered too. With no time to warn my kinsfolk, I ran for my life -- and here I am, many days later." The elf's eyes were now very wet. "Poor dear father and mother -- I wonder what's become of them..."

"We share your fear and your grief, lass," consoled Khadgar. "Come, why not join us in our quest to defeat the Dark General and end his reign of terror once and for all? We're all willing to be your friends." Khadgar turned to StoneRock. "Right, StoneRock?"

StoneRock sighed. "Yeah, sure..."

Chun-Li smiled. "I thank you all for this, friends. I shall willingly offer my help in every way I can -- even if it means laying down my life --"

"Touch wood, young lady!" reproved Magnus. "Please do not speak of such inauspicious things!"

"I'm sorry," said the drow.

"My lady," said Sir Morguerat, "could you tell us what you know of the strengths and weaknesses of the Dark Knight -- and his minions?"

"You should all know that the Dark Knight and his minions cannot be harmed by normal physical weapons," replied Chun-Li. "Only holy weapons can harm them -- and with the Dark Knight not even those. Holy symbols and objects are of limited use -- they can only protect you from being hurt by them -- and only the weaker ones among them at that. But there is one thing they all fear greatly -- sunlight. If you know of the sunlight spell, it will be a great asset."

"I do!" cried Rufus excitedly. "That's one spell at which I am most proficient!"

Chun-Li smiled. "When the Dark Knight or any of his minions come into contact with sunlight, whether natural or magical, they will lose all their powers and be burned slowly as long as the light shines on them -- until they either escape or are reduced to ashes. There are just some problems, though. First, the ranks of their troops are virtually infinite. Slay a hundred, and later another hundred will swiftly take their place. Second, the higher necromancers and the Dark Knight himself do know enough to take magical precautions against light attacks, which include situating themselves only in places with anti-magic enchantments placed on them. If you walked into those places, all your active spells, including sunlight, would be extinguished and you would also be stripped of all mana. They themselves would still be able to work their magic, though."

"Hey, that's unfair!" cried Rufus.

"What can we do, then?" asked Sir Morguerat.

<font color="99ff00">"what to do indeed" pondered the knight"I have heard of a rare sword that is made of sunlight, the sunblade Guthay, and I've heard obscure rumors of a crystal blade that can trap sunlight, perhaprs we could use that as well"</font>

"I heave heard of those too" said Magnus, "Rufus, go get the book of wisdom from the library, third tier on the fourth level near the back, you know the one"

"Yes sir," said Rufus, and he darted off to find the dusty tome.

<font color="99ff00">Sir Jorlon, how fares the Order of the Radiant Heart? Dot they hold true to the truths we've fought for? Or have they forsaken the fight against evil like Keldorns Order, asked Morguerat</font>

K T Ong 07-16-2002 09:48 AM

"They're all as faithful as they have ever been to the Sacred Code of the Most Radiant Heart," reassured Sir Jorlon. "As for the Keldorn Order, take heart, brother. I'm sure if we persist in our efforts, we may yet convert the defected paladins back to the light, and one day the Order may even be restored to its former glory."

"Your words offer consolation and encouragement aplenty, Sir Brother Jorlon," said Sir Morguerat with a grin.

"And I'm sure your current condition will not be permanent, either," said Khadgar to Sir Morguerat. "We will find a way to cure you. Set your mind at ease."

"Thank you," replied the paladin. "You're all great friends indeed!"

"Pardon my extreme rudeness in interrupting," said Chun-Li, "but I do not understand. What condition does Sir Morguerat suffer from? I fail to see anything wrong with him."

Sir Morguerat, Magnus and Khadgar explained everything to Chun-Li. Nearby, Fenric secretly played with the elf's hair behind her back, and only stopped when Magnus took notice and gave him a hard glare.

"I know how he can be cured!" exclaimed the elf. "It all has to do with the source of the Dark Knight's power!"

"Please tell us more!" requested Sir Morguerat.

"The Dark Knight actually draws his powers from the Plane of Dark Energy," explained the elf, "a virtually infinite reservoir of black sorcerous power existing in another dimension. This is how he can easily replace any number of fallen troops in his vast army. But before he could tap into this reservoir of dark power, he had to open up a conduit linking it to our world first, and for the construction of such a conduit he needed the manhood of no less than ninety-nine heroes to serve as the raw building material. I'm certain you must have been one of the unfortunate ninety-nine whose strength he claimed for that purpose. So if we could destroy the conduit, I believe your manhood would be instantly restored -- to say nothing of that of the other ninety-eight -- and furthermore the Dark Knight would be rendered powerless!"

(ooc: To Morguerat ~ just suggesting a theory as to how your paladin became weak and small and how he could be cured. If you don't like it, just ignore it, okay? ;) )

Morgeruat 07-16-2002 10:47 AM

aye, that is how he gained his power, but fortunately that was not my fate, you know of the dark modding mage of Ironworks, and how he was toppled from his stolen throne? well in the process of destroying him, my own soul was tainted by the darkness he used to power his magics, and when I was finally freed of the taint, my darkened soul took a life of it's own, it was purged from me, but it is still of me, that is how I could sense the servants of darkness, for they are still a part of me, in a sense, I let him escape me before, and he stole my enchanted blade and had me caged, he couldn't destroy me for it would have killed him as well, I however have no such restriction, I can survive without the part of my soul that was used to create him, but if I die, then he will fall. Unfortunately the reason I have not ended his scourge with my own demise is that by now his generals have had a taste for blood, and the power they stand to gain, well most of them anyway,"he smiles briefly at Chun-li, "and will continue his evil work even if he should fall. I fear we must destroy him as well as his most powerful minions to prevent absolute destruction of all we hold dear.

OOC> Yes, Jorlon always sleeps when he gets to the keep. Probably cuz he gets very little rest .
IC>
Jorlon- "I've been meaning to tell you Morgeruat, most of the Order as I already said, maintains there code and honor. I do not believe Keldorn's Order is a true Paladin Order. Most of us are angry at him, even I left. Its a pity though, the real Paladin code is dying away, but there are a few Orders like mine, who stick to the traditional code of Honour, Justice, Equality, and disposing of evil."

StoneRock- "Well I'm no doctor, but I could look at the symptoms of your illness. I would have to do some painful shots though, like looking at your blood, and casting some spells on you. Only if your willing Morgeruat."

Khadgar- "On another note, I think that we could all use a good meal. So, I decided that I'd bring a special Elven Meat Dish called Ukensa. There is a nice resturant where I live run by an elf, and he decided to cook this up for me. But I do hope none of you are vegetarians."

K T Ong 07-16-2002 10:44 PM

(ooc: To SecretMaster ~ Chinese food, yeah? And the gentleman in your sig reminds me of the character Kyosuke from the Capcom game Rival Schools. And no -- I honestly don't picture Sir Jorlon that way... )

"Uhhh... I'm afraid Rufus and I are vegetarians..." said Magnus. "In fact even with Fenric we're trying to discourage him from eating meat, too -- and I understand elven food is just... too fattening..."

"Elven food? No, thank you!" cried StoneRock.

"Owww, shucks," grumbled Khadgar. "No matter, I'll share it with the rest around here..." He did a gesture and a serving of the dish magically appeared before each of the two paladins, the dark elf and himself. "Thanks, kind sir," said the elf.

"I wonder if there's a way to purify the Dark Knight of all his evil rather than destroy him, and then merge him back into Sir Morguerat's soul that our friend would be made whole again?" pondered Sir Jorlon.

"I mentioned a spell earlier before you came," said Magnus to Sir Jorlon. "It unfortunately takes seven days to cast and the fourth day must fall on the Summer Solstice -- which has already passed by two weeks. And even if that were not the case, the Dark Knight and his forces would do everything they could to stop us, too..."

"We clerics of Clangeddin know of another way," answered StoneRock, "but it's extremely difficult. So difficult, it hasn't been tried for centuries. It involves --"

Just then Rufus returned with a large tome in his hands...

OOC> Lol K T. The guy in my sig is from the Japanese Anime Action Sci-Fi comedy Trigun. He's Vash the Stampede, the legendary gunman with a bounty of 60 billion double dollars on his head (double dollars is currency in the show).

K T Ong 07-17-2002 02:50 AM

(ooc: I see. Well, he does look like Kyosuke to me. But then anime characters often look alike to me anyway.

Well? Aren'tcha gonna continue our Great Epic?)

SecretMaster 07-17-2002 10:12 AM

OOC> K T, do you want me to post the sacred healing ritual, or do you want to. What do you have in mind??
