If you've already asked Drizzt to help you (which I'd recommend against) your next question will probably be 'how do I keep him out of the action?' He can be annoying, Minsc was beating on a vamp and Drizzt walks over, does 8hp damage and GETS THE KILL! In some situations it looks like he follows one person on your team around so if you can figure out who that is, keep him with Drizzt, away from the action.

Now that's even odder. I mean, I like Salvatore so far but that seems like a bad clerical error he made.

Mainly due to langauges and accents. I think Salvatore should have had the boy say Drit-st. Simply because when a person says a name in their accent, that's how it has to sound, when someone else says it.

Take the name Sakura from Card Captor Sakura. In the American Dub, her name sounds like Sack-eww-rah. Sure, it's hard for some people to totally roll the r when saying a Japanese name, however the proper way to say Sakura's name would be the Japanese way, Sack-ur-ra, or rolling the R.

So if Drizzt's name in his accent sounds like Drizzit, then by default that should be the way his name is pronounced, because it's the way he does it.

That's why I feel it's a clerical error on Salvatore's part, however this doesn't change my view on the books or Drizzt's name. I just wonder if Salvatore has noticed this or not.

I don't get how it can't be Drizzit, it seemed pretty clear in the book by the author, unless the character that said it is hearing impaired or something...

It cant be pronounced Drizzit because in Sojourn the sandy haired lad(I dont remember his name) called him Drizzit and latter on the next person to call him it had to be corrected by Drizzt. So Drizzit aint his name.

Ah ok, what page, gotta check it out? ;C)

Uh just to clarify, REALLY not meant to sound sarcastic. I hate the way things can be read on the Internet...
