Yes, you do. After the first autosave in Irenicus' dungeon, quit.
Then take the autosave out of the multisave folder and put it in
the save folder. It runs a lot faster and smoother.

you to change stats, etc. in Baldur's Gate II. You can check
out the stats, spells, proficiencies, etc. Run a search on the
topics and you'll find a site to download it from.
