I´m kinda drawn to the drow elfs...just wish that there where a real kit as a drow...but no matter TDD has it so I need to download it sometime in the future!!!

I´m gonna play as Drizzt when I get home to the comp

Half-orcs are the best because they can have 19 strength and 19 con, which make s them brilliant barbarians which is also my favorite class because they get 20% resitance against blunt slashing pearcing weapons and they get some magical resistance

This might sound silly but my favorite race is elf because of the way the little figure looks like. I'm playing a female mage and I wanted to be human at first, but I didn't like the figure. So I decided for the elven race.

as my name shows it would have to be the dwarves.the elves are just too light duty to be that good as a front line fighter.they can be mages and thieves.but i myself like a good fighter.

I prefer elves (mainly because I like wizards and archers, and they are good at both). Next would be humans, then half-orcs. I like gnomes the least.

I like all the races the same because they cause each other to balance how would we know dwarfs are stockyer then elves if we diden't have elves to compare them to. I try to be fair to all but find myself playing elves the most cause I usually play a ranger and picture a elven ranger the most often when I think of ranger and who's more at home in the woods then a elf ?

Hey! 'Me of course' you sound like Cernd!!!

Well my favourite race is gnome because i can be a multiclassed fighter/illusionist and i can romance Aerie(spoiler...and have a kid with her in throne of bhaal). I thinks the reason people don't like the different npc's is because they don't like the way they acted the first time they were with them. I.e eople hate aerie because she always cries and complains but later on she becomes headstrong and brave. Same with anomen: people hate him because he's very arrogant but later on he becomes galant. Most people like viconia because she's a tough bitch but actually why would you like a sexiste idiot who insults you all the time(i'm not saying i hate her i love her) and then becomes all nice and mushy like the aformentioned Aerie. So what i am saying is that the people who hate npc's have to learn to wait for their real personality to come out

Personally I think that the Dwarfs are the best. Can you guess that by the name, quote and runes? But The dwarfs and the half-orc are the best fighters. So the most amazing race would be the Half-orc. But dwarfs rule.

I suspect nobody talks about the races because there's so little distinction between 'em on an experiential level. Being an elf, dwarf, halfling, etc, doesn't give you access to special areas, weaponry or abilities. You're not specifically targeted for friendship or hatred by anyone else. I'm not complaining, mind you: it was obviously something that would have just spiraled the game's design out of control to put this in.

On the other hand, the professions do play quite differently, and the addition of strongholds only adds to that.

Actually, if you have an Elf or Half-Elf, and go up to the guy near the fountain in Waukeen's Promenade, he'll insult you, call you evil, etc. He's a bigot...

With a halfling, there's a guy in the Temple District who hates Halflings and Dwarves.

Halflings.

Mainly because I am like a Halfling. I like food, good and fun times, and home. The only differences between me and a Halfling are:

Bare Feet
5 foot 9 inches Tall
I wouldn't mind going on adventures

Oh and my sense of humor doesn't really involve butts and bodily functions. Think "Arla's Dragonbane" sling and it's story ;C)The Baldur's Gate Fan Fiction Archive
