I think that the problem people have is that it should read 'You're Bard'
not 'your Bard'. It gives the joke a VERY different meaning. The way it is written doesn't make sense.

I guess it is really just a pun. Instead of saying 'You're barred' as in not allowed in the bar, it is 'You're bard' as in Haer' Dalis is a Bard.
