Yeh, I once saw Minsc use Daystar to deal 51 + 9 + 8 + 46 + 1049 points of Sunray damage to the Shade Lich in the Unseeing Eye quest...I was totally jazzed - kept a screenshot so I could brag about it - until I realized that I had actually killed the lich's DOUBLE...he had just cast Mislead a few seconds earlier. Had to stop celebrating - still managed to stomp him, but what a waste of damage.

damn man, that's a lot of ■■■■■■■ damage but you see vamires and a sunray, not such a good combination unless you won't to see some dust.
the maximum damage I did was 160 damage with sarevok and a two handed sword.
and I think that for a weapon that's outrages.

Oh 160 damage max piff! ive seen my crit soars into the 500+ with an assassin those 7X backstab is nasty but if you edit the game its possiable to get 9x backstab but i don't know how. heh bloody heck with 9x backstab, if you got 10 pt on hit, now you got 90 pt of damage, and if you got let's say the average hit around 40 for my assassin that would be 360 pt average per 9x backstab but his criticals can get nasty.

but on the other hand pure meleers the highest i have seen was 150 pt of damage with some kind of two handed sword, don't rember what, there are many good two handed swords in the game
