I would almost recommend against dualing a kensai to mage, though. I dualled at lvl 12, and now that my kensai skills are back, dual wielding Celestial Fury and Daystar is unbelievably powerful! The point is that I almost never use his mage spells, as Edwin has that covered nicely. I wish I hadn't dualled, cause I bet lvl 20 kensai's are utterly godlike. Not only that, but I can imagine that in ToB kensai's will gain some kickass powers. I would say that dualling is probably only a good idea if you are planning on the Kensai/Mage being the primary spellcaster (which is a bad idea anyway). Otherwise just beef up his profeciences and watch the monsters crumble (my kensai killed the 5 Demon Knights in the Underdark singlehandedly) |
1.If you play with the EXP cap off, play with him until you've milked every last drop of his special abilities from him, then dualclass him to a mage. IF you're playing with the cap on, then lvl 12 might be a little late as you might find it hard to regain his kensai skills.
2.He can use anything fighters can, with the exception of armor of any kind, helmets(Ioun stones work though) or shields. He CAN use throwing axes, and if you dualclass him you get to use mage items to make up for his inabilities. 3.Stat requirements are the same for fighter/mages. High con, str and int. 4.VERY! ------------------ Why? |
