As should be clear by everyones posts. The games mainly differ in terms of Plot vs "Hack n' Slash".

- IceWindDale (Action)
- BG 1
- BG 2
- PlaneScapeTournament (Plot)

If you dont like reading tons of text, go with IWD. If you do, go with PST. That leaves BG 1&2 as a good middle ground. BG2 is the Grandest of all these games, with the most to do, and also the most recent features.

Only IWD (w/Heart of Winter installed) and BG2, run at the new higher resolutions. The older games only run at 480x640. That doesnt seem to matter to many people, but I cant stand the old resolutions.
