It's the most typical error usually done, but it's more because of the way the game is done. When Kangaxx the Lich screams that when he dies, he will be "really released", most of the people slap on the Protection from Undead, which makes you invisible to the demi-lich. HOWEVER! If the demi-lich DOES NOT see your party members, then it will NOT trigger his "speech", and then he simply will NOT die. This is exactly right. It's easier to use a Protection from Magic scroll, available from the Adventurers Mart. Cast it on the dude who will do the bashing with the +4 weapon and Kangaxx's Imprisonment spell will have no effect.

A cheaper option if you don't quite have the cash for Staff of Rynn is the Flame Tongue which is a +1 sword, but is rated +4 in terms of what it can hit. It's about a third of the price. ;)

Well, if you're really desperate, you can do what I did.

Save the game, and give each theif you have in the group Set Special Snare with the Shadowmaster Hacker. Then, go to the game, lure Kangaxx off to a far corner, kill him until her reaches his Demi-Lich state. Make sure you're hasted, run like hell when he starts transforming. Now he's stuck.

Get your theives as close as possible, WITHOUT revealing him, and when the shadows are still close enough to hide him, if you have 4 theives, with 12 special snares each, you can keep casting that and he'll go down. Unfortunately, this only worked before I updated to TOB, now Set Special Snare makes your enemy dissapear unfortunately, so it'd take way too long...

Well...... In the end it was pretty easy.
The problem was that he just decided not to turn into a demi lich. He just stayed a near lich for ever. In the end i just loaded up and plastered him all over the walls. The only problem was doing it without any freedom scrolls. A bit of an arse, but the actual killing bit was piss. Thanks guys.

Well I beat Kangaxx in Chap 2 in my latest Game [img]smile.gif[/img] It was all in diversion [img]smile.gif[/img] .... use the staff of the magi and its Spell Trap, once aerie was in there doing damage slower than Kangaxx was regenrating I cast Spell Immunity: Abjuration then she was loaded. I got Keldorn to sneak up behind Kangaxx and Whack the shit out of Him from behind.... And lucky 4 me he kept trying to imprison Aerie [img]smile.gif[/img]

instead of all those protection vs. Undead scrolls
Have one fighter in front
let him go beserk or in barbarian rage
He can't get imprisoned and while he catches all the spells let the others hack in
much cheaper that way

Unfortuanatly Trap Soul isnt stopped by Rages :(
