If you decide to live up to your father's namesake, turn into his tool of death and eat them!

Is the slayer immune to Psionics and level drain? Does anyone know the exact stats on the slayer?

Trapped in the Flayer City? Don't have access to high level spells or abilities? Can't retreat to return to fight another day? ;P

Heh, never fear! Got a Cleric in your group? http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif If you do, get her/him to cast Animate Dead. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif Those 'weak' skeletons are IMMUNED to psionics. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gifhttp://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gifhttp://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gifhttp://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Basically, cast as many as possible to tank for you. Oh, by the way, don't rush the Mind Flayers, get someone to cast cloudkill( either from wands or spells) into the room containing the Mind Flayers and Umber Hulks. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...s/coollook.gif If possible, slam the door shut as well, trapping them inside as the spell works it's wonders. Most of the time, the Umber Hulks will fall to the spell, leaving only the Mind Flayers. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif Get a speedy char, with Chaotic Command if possible, to attract the Mind Flayers into a prepared room where the rest of your party are waiting with missile weapons and the skeleton wall. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif The resulting carnage will make you happy as the Xp rolls in. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gifhttp://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gifhttp://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

P.S. With regards to the Mind Flayer Brain

Got a level 12+ Mage with Chromatic Orb? Yes? Then good, open the door, but DO NOT attract attention from the Golems and other what-suchs inside. You will have a direct line of sight of the MF_Brain, cast the spell, and chances are, the Brain will instantly die, http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif due to the side effects of a level 12+ Chromatic Orb. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Note that CO can instant kill Mind Flayers too, but rarely, due to their Magic Resistance, but it can and has happened. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

level 5 priest spell chaotic commands... relatively long duration (long enough to get out of their city)... use an area effect kill spell to clear the hulks... focus on the the mind flayers first as the ulitharids will heal themselves and drag the fight out... use the collars to charm the last flayer standing in each fight (for the doors and helping vs the ulis)...
