Nalia's really good - provided you turn your speakers off!
She is a great mage with the bonus that she can use short bows because she is dual class thief (equip her with Tansheron bow for best effect).

I almost always have both Nalia and Aerie in my group, the whining is annoying, but if you have a good aligned group you can do no better for mages.

Aerie is the worst as there arnt even supposed to be any Averiel left in fayroon as the last one flew west 1000's of years ago. And nalia wont be able to cast level 9 spells nor aerie cast spells above level 7 beacuse of their low inteligence.

And Nalia is a good substitute for Imoen, but I usually ended up having all 3 in my good aligned party.

I agree that Nalia can be annoying, but she has been a great addition to my team so far. If fact, she and Aerie have the best kill ratio after Minsc. My pc is a druid that has a hard time staying alive. I just rescued Imoen so I had to removed her from my party, but I'm sad to see her go.

Okay first of all all you have to do is buy a potion of genius to write highlevels spells for them and anyway in the addon lums the mads machine will let us upgrade stats

I really like aerie a lot but nalia makes we want to vomit and then tear her head off so i can send it to auntie dearest in the post(those of you who have done that quest for her will who im referring to).

The only thing I like about her is the develoers were merciful and didnt put in some hideous romance option for her(although i heard someone did make one as well as one for imoen only masochists need apply).

you dont get spell slots for level 9 if your intelilegence is below 18 potions of genius etc. Will allow you to learn spells but not cast.

At first I couldnt figure out why people hated her so much.... that changed last night when I quested with her. OMG she is driving me up a wall. In regards to Aerie, I have Viv in my party and let me tell ya, those two get into some great conversations.
