+5 to hit and damage + an aditional +5 versus chaotic evil creatures + the +3 versus dragons and demons of my cavelier= a lot of damage.

The flail of ages is the best early game weapon.

Try dual wielding Flail of Ages with crom faer or black razor.

Yes, and the flail will slow his oponent when it hits (very usefull). It's the best cleric weapon.

Since clerics aren´t very good at close combat, i always give them that +5 sling. I consider that one to be the best cleric weapon.

Give the cleric Crom Feayr and (s)he will become you main Tank

yes, and since blunt weapons are the only waypons that can do some serious damage against clay golems, I always send Viconia (with the girdle of fortitude or she will get squashed) or Anomen. Clerics don't have a bad thaco either.
