Caleb is right. Its unfortunate that they'd desintegrate like that. I thought they would just turn into non-enchanted weapons like Drizzt's original Scimitars. But if you give them to your characters after exiting from the Underdark, you'll get to keep them. Same for the cloaks..Those are my Favourite drow items.
