you need to type [img][/img] and between the 2 you need to insert the adress of the pic.
Let's say the adress of the pic that I want to show is http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...polarworm2.gif

so I put this adress between [img] and [/img] and here's what I get:
