Actually I only played through eight times, along with many games playing around with different classes (like monk, barbarian, sorcerer...etc).

As for the hilt of the silver sword, the location in town of where the gith (I know, I cannot spell....) will spawn will be random, it is usually the first or second location where you enter into Athkatla in chapter 6. SInce I like resting in Copper Coronet, that's where I usually stop by first in town and the gith will usually spawn in that area.
