You are welcome friends ... I remember when I saw the trailer of SWI at theatre.. Damn the emotion was there ! But now, I will go to theatre each months just to see if the trailer of LOTR will be presented. And if so, I'll stay after the movie to see it again and again and again ....

Looks interesting and I look forward to seeing it. My only real gripe atm is cating Sean Bean as Boromir whilst John Rhys-Davis is cast as Gimli. JRD fits Boromirs description to a tee........oh well http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

Eh? JRD is HUGE!

Tancred

Well, he is!

Charlie 04-07-2001 06:32 PM

Boromir is no hobbit himself. How big do Dwarves grow btw, not quite as large as JRD methinks.

Well, yes, but JRD is quite portly as well. I imagined Boromir to be broad, but a bit more lean. As for Dwarves... I think Gimli was about five feet tall. Dwarves in LotR weren't that short.

Yes, accepted JRD is somewhat rotund http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif
I must accept that although I've read the books (including all the others) many times, I haven't read LotR for at least ten or more years.
As I recall Boromir was a huge bearded man and it took a multitude of arrows to slay him. Either way, imho Sean Bean is never a Boromir. The truth of the pudding as they say....who knows, he may be a great Boromir in the movie itself although I seem to recall seeing some movie stills and he didn't appear to me to portray Tolkiens description of Boromir.

Went and looked at the trailer---AWESOME!

One question though, are hobbits that tall?

than open it and remove all doubt!

BTW, shouldn't this thread be in General discussion area? or are we suggesting having BG2 characters in the film? http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/biggrin.gif
