Yes they can, but they can't have familiars. (unless you count Minsc http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...miles/hihi.gif )
Familiars are more trouble than they're worth, especially if you lose them moving between areas. |

Yep. You have to speak to them to do it though. This is good if you're going against area-effect johnnies

I had a familiar once...but kept losing it! WHen the group would try to transition to another area that voice would drone on and on: "You must gather your party before...you know the rest..." And so I would go back wandering around trying to find the little bugger. Finally it must have gotten killed because I just noticed one day that it no longer was there!
