no, not really.

have helm of vihlor, and buy two scroll of protection from magic

put them in quick item slots. when you fight your enemies, use the helm, create a sim of yourself, have the sim cast protection from magic scroll on your fighter

Oh well I must have had one lucky Monk then. Imprisonment never bugged me. Only once or twice would an NPC get it, but I made sure I had freedom around.

Maybe you're right, lots of players have complaint about this.(or are you talking about the monk)
But that still doesn't solve my problem.
