nope, I made a mistake about "chiken" and "squrril". i thought they are the same, because in BGI, there was a quest one dude in "polymorphed" inot a chicken... that was how the idea got into my mind

Nope, they're just like a Ninja or something. Uses his nouse and stealth. I like it that it's so powerful. You can't lay traps in every situation so rake it in whenever you can.

A while back the predominant notion on boards was "Bounty Hunters suck" or other such nonsense. You've furthered the point that each character when played properly, within it's limitations and to it's strengths is very potent.

I soloed a Totemic Druid, summoning a spirit animal all the time (they last much longer than an ordinary summoning, so you can always have one around).

Like the Bounty Hunter though.... "Hmm what shall I do? I know... I'll lay a trap!" The options grew a bit sameish - the downside of playing solo.

Pretty cool. Did you get all traps available though or do you miss some?

Re my last post, I actually read a post where someone actually said that the Bounty Hunter sucked and that even the thiefs normal traps were better than the
"crappy Bounter Hunter ones".

What do you think about the Ninja thing. It's probably more like one than the Assassin is, or do you think the Assassin is more Ninja-like?

I got 3 special traps, (they held if enemies fail save vs spell) and 3 normal thief ones. about ppl who said BH trap sucks... they can go "ef" themselves like bhaal did. i mean, serious, BH's trap is like fireball, it hits muti targets...

you compared Bounty Hunters to ninjar? I err... do not think bounty hunter is ninja. but that is just my idea. In my O, I think the bounty hunters are like woods man for hiring or FBI or secret agent, they wire your car, and when you try to drive, it BOOOOOM... lol, that is what i thought about bounty hunters.

while ninja is more like... well, they kill with stealth, and skills. they normally dislike things as "trap" but they do use their own ability to illuminate their foes. I mean, they wont put a trigger in your safe or locker so when you open it, it "click" and you are gone for good. they just sneak in your mansion, and avoid security guards, and find you in bed, and "PAH PAH with CLA CLA", you are gone.

you dont think they should somehow change the "set trap" thing? I mean, it is just not possible to invent such a device SO deadly... look at the size of the dragon. you need more than a dozen traps, right?

250 03-25-2001 12:46 PM

i think they should invent traps for EACH type and size of foes.

if a bounty hunter saw a new monster, with certain amount of int, he can invent new traps. and the traps can be magiced by a mage or cleric to do further dmg... I hope this si the way it works in NWN

Yeah, but a historical model rather than present day... you know the ones that used powders and hidden triggers, star throwers and the like.

Isn't there a Ninja class in an Oriental source book? I've got a Green Celtic one, with additional classes, history mythological creatures etc. All based on Celtic mythology. There are heaps of those books. There's a Roman one, a Charlemagne one, a Viking one that I've seen.

Is there an Oriental one with Ninjas?

Aah I'm tired I'm off to zzzzzzz.

See ya 250. Thanks for your posts tonight. http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

Yes, I would agree......it will add to the realism to the game.

Later Yorick.
