White Heron - you are correct. If you play an evil character, Talos will offer the quest. If you know the alignments with the churches, it makes sense.

Come to think of it you're right. My L-G Undead Hunter and my N-E Berserker were both offered the quest by Helm, so has my L-N Sorceror
