Just make sure that you configure the cleric's script to none. Otherwise, a character like Anomen will fight rather than focus on turning undead. I believe Sanctuary will work as well as an invisibility potion (although Sanctuary doesn't last very long) in that it protects the cleric from attacks.

Even if you can't get undead to run away, or destroy/control them, I think the undead suffer to hit penalties and save penalties.

In any area with a lot of undead, turning is a great advantage.

Thanks, I am a Ravenloft Dungeon Master down here in Ottawa Ont. So I basicly know most of the powers and how they work on Pnp.
