Well I have aslo done the fighter stronghold quests twice and I have never found a use for them either.

If it's a gag throught it would have been more fun to have something like this tied in the romance plot:

that was this charecter called mr.Shade who asked if you had "It", and the conversation could go on for about 5 mins.
