First off if you keep getting wiped out youll want to come back when youre a higher level. but before you do, go to the copper coronet and get a mage. or go to the government district and pick up Jan. Mages are CRUCIAL to the survival of the party.

Totally agree with EarthHog. You need some mages to finish some things!!!

For instance if you're in the planar sphere, you gotta fight Tolgerias (if you got Valygar). If you cast a couple of fireballs in the room before entering (room is still foggy; you can't see anyone) you'll kill him easily: try beating him without any mages!!!!!

Or just get a 'Flameblade' or the magic Flail (or that Halberd in the Underdark)

once you get you mage(s) dont be afraid to use all the scrolls you can find (or buy) they are there for a reason...... use the heck out of them.
