I've found plenty of vampire bat wings in Mt. Gigas. Just rest a few times and you should run into some - just make sure to use shadow hound or they'll tear apart a sleeping party. The vampire chain has a 100% stamina drain.

Damage-wise, the vampire chain isn't that great. It is extened, but single-handed (you can use a shield). Best thing is that it heals you when you damage your opponents (you heal 1/3 of the damage dished out). Drawback is that like other whips, you only get half of your strength bonus.

What's even worse, whips don't get any multipliers for incapacitation etc. Another advantage being the extreme stamina drain from vampire chain which will make the mobs pass out fairly quickly (and lower their chance to hit you).

i think i have onlt even seen one vampire wing since i've been playing, the 1st time round i was able to get one but being alitle stupid i have it to the wrong person.. lol

I go hunting for bats if I really need a wing. Mt. Gigas is best, but if your level range is too high or low it is a rare encounter. I think 10-15 is best. Unlike the venom crabs, there is no certain location to find them. My parties rarely use the Chain anymore, they always have something better.
