I hven't been casting a lot of spells, or any at all. dunno its really smooth except for certian reas of trynton... oh well

My computer runs smooth as silk, no slowdown anywhere at all. Athlon XP 1800, 512 meg RAM, Geforce 2 MX400. I don't really think it's the game engine itself since it's a modest one, and I have seen it run very smoothly on a 450 Mhz Pentium 2 with a TNT2 (my original PC ;) . However, it is possible there could be a hiccup somewhere maybe in a hardware component or a driver issue. As for the guy that posted the hardware.com link to that story of AMD processors having problems on some games, since I couldn't find it, what AMD processors exactly? Far as I know, since the Athlon, AMD processors totally trounce Intel's in just about anything and the XP seems even more stable. Not saying that Intel processors are bad, just stating the facts on that for the time being, clock for clock, and dollar per dollar, an AMD processor is better and are very stable. Sadly, I can't say the same about the chipsets on which the AMD processors are housed in though as IMO that's really the weakest area of having an AMD platform.

I gots a pIII 550 319ram and the stock vid card (believe me...the card isn't much) and the game runs great for me. The only lag I get is when I am downloading massive files in the background while I play.

like i said.. with my 450Mhz Computer and this geforce 3 it ran silky smooth (wasn't up to trynton yet tho.

I run almost 9000 3d marks and I still get the whole slide show effect in w8 at times. Athlon xp 2000+, geforce ti 200@obsene clock speeds. Ugg. At least I can get well over a 100 fps in Q3. *shrug*

I noticed that I had lag times when I hadn't reloading from scratch. Certain areas like Arnika and Trynton had horrible problems but only when I USED THE MAP. The map rebuilds everytime and eats up memory. When I see a serious lag time I save, and get out of Wiz8 entirely. Reload and you see a huge improvement.

P3-600, 128Mb RAM, and a VooDoo3 3000AGP here, and the only place it gets even a little choked up is Arnika (and that probably more to do with the amount of patrols etc verses available RAM. Otherwise, perfect performance for me.

I'm playing on a laptop with 128mb RAM, celeron 800 and an 8mb videocard... works fine! In Arnika it becomes a little bit laggy, but it's ok, and after several hours of playing I have to restart to free swap space... Trynton was never a problem.

Never forget your towel, cheers

Running an XP 1700, 256mb DDR ram, and a Radeon 7200 64mb SDR ram video card. I have noticed slow down near Ferro and the area above the elevator in Rapax Castle. Especially if I access the auto-map.. go figure..

I am running on a P4 1.5GHz, 256 MB RAM and Geforce 2 MX400. The game runs quite smooth at 800x600 but I have noticed the automapping (with X-ray vision) slows the game down to a crawl. other than that I have nothing to complain about.
