I think everybody here needs to calm down. There is no need to get upset at eachother for minor misunderstandings like these, and if you really must vent, just PM eachother, that's (among other things ) what the function is for.
Now, I think the best thing here would be for everybody to stop posting further commentary, because all has been said on the subject already, and it's not necessary to let us know whether you agree or disagree with any of the posters here.
Just move along and have fun on the forums, ok?

<font color="white">Yeah, calm down, guys!
And if you want to yell at eachother, do it over PM or something, like Mel said.
And remember that one of our brand new members is here, and this isnt a good first impression.
Just think if you were totally new here.
Would you like to be yelled at, and just get bad respons like that?
Ok then.
And Fireheart, please stay. It would meen alot to us if you would stay here. You might just got a very bad beginning here, but I can promise you that all the other members here is the most kind people in the world.
So please stay, and I will make sure that these guys wont bother you anymore.
Even though you might can take it a little easy yourself to.
Now Kaleban and Mordenheim, leave Fireheart be!</font>

see ya!

Exxon, if you noticed, my first response was decent, and congenial, with a smiley after my P.S. It is quite obvious I thought that I was joking. Perhaps you should look at his profuse swearing...? I try to be nice, he throws it back in my face (twice) and that means he's either immature or a troll.

I really don't care whether this guy stays or not, but the least he can do is cut out the swearing.

Then how about following Mes yourself and not adding fuel to the fire. I have heard this is a family board and have seen it myself. I have no problem with my nephew reading a site like this. No need to be swearing like that on a board such as this. I do not care if he hates BG2 or loves it for that matter but at least try to keep the words in a adult fashion. If this is not a family board then let me know. If it is I think we have a right to ask him not to use those words.

Just remember, it works both ways. ;)

Melusine 12-04-2001 01:15 PM

Ack... when I post a warning such as the one I did, why do people have to go ahead and do the exact opposite?
Exxon, this also means posting to say "indeed, you should all stop now" and giving an opinion to which others can reply again... the argument can go on and on like that.
Now, is it really that hard to just stop posting to threads like these? I hope you'll all show that it isn't.

In answer to the ORIGINAL question -
flesh - +1
clay - blunt
stone - +2
iron - +3/damage reduction
adamite - +4/damage reduction/regeneration
bone - ?
sand - ?
BG2 uses second edition D+D rules. My numbers may be off on the last three; but, the first four are garanteed corect. You would need a second edition Monster Manual for exact specs; but, they are now out of print and can be found rather easily. I hope this helps. Good golem bashing day to you.

Dundee Slaytern 12-04-2001 03:01 PM

Iron/Adamantium Golems require +3 weapons.

Bone/Sand/Stone Golems require +2 weapons.

Brain/Clay Golems requires +1 blunt weapons.

Lesser Clay Golems requires anything.

Flesh Golems requires +1 weapons.
