For Realms of Arkania:

Well since Sir-Tech has dropped ROA and no longer supports it, I
figured I would post this URL, where ROA 1 & 2 are available for
download:

http://www.classic-trash.com/gamelist.php?genre=9

And if you enjoy Realms of Arkania:

Thanks for the info, Vap. I've got the forum bookmarked.
You can also get the complete trilogy (Star-Trail isn't freeware, AFAIK) from

Chips and Bits-ROA for $6.00 Not sure if that includes manuals or not. Think I'm going to order mine today, this thing is pure old-school RPG goodness. Wiz 8 fans will feel right at home. :D

That trilogy comes with the manuals and some great maps! I bought each of the games that came out AND the trilogy when it came out. (Yeah, so I am a freak!) For six bucks, you can't beat that price for three great games!!

I would - well, more than - HIGHLY RECOMMEND - getting it from there rather than downloading it. (For that matter, the games had the copy protection of requiring the manual, picked a random word ya have to type in - they may have been hacked to remove that, who knows). But you're right - according to Abandonware laws, I guess a game has to be out there for 10 years or something, otherwise, even if a company doesn't support it, the copyright still belongs to them.

I'm afraid there is another thanks coming along . Thanks for the link Vap.

No problem! Always glad to help when I can!

Just ordered the trilogy, $11 including priority shipping. w00t! Can't wait! (well, I can... :( ) Now waiting on Arkania trilogy, and Wizardry Archives. Old-school goodies, here I come!

Vaprakgruumsh 01-06-2002 03:45 PM

The Wizardry trilogy is sweet. You will probably need to download something for both sets of games that slows down your processor speed. I have a few links for stuff like Mo'Slo and such, which will do that, I will see if I can dig those up!

dos games has a direct link for moslo download. :D plus a couple of other handy links for the oldtimey gamer.

or if you want to read about it first, prior to download, go here.
