I would alomst agree with skrewloose about the easiest party to play. I would just change a few minor things. First I would change the rogue for a bard. With the plethora of instruments available, it makes the going easier. Second I would change the Psionic to a Priest. The Priest has great defensive spells such as Heal, ArmorPlate, Web, Magic Screen that I find invaluable. If you want more punch later in the game just convert the Priest to a Bishop and now you can have any spells you want.
This said I use a Psionic and a Bishop. I love the Insanity spell and the Bishop covers both Mage and Priest. Also my Gadgeteer covers the Armorplate spell so I do not have to waste a spell pick on it. In summary I believe the easiest party to play would be Lizardman Fighter Lizardman Fighter ? Ranger ? Bard ? Priest ? Mage Personally excpet for the fighter I do not think race matters with the exception that I would not recommend a Faerie for an easiest party. |

Max out Speed and Intel out of the gate. You'll Powercast by level 8, and have Snake Speed shortly thereafter. Obviously focus on Mental, Psionics, and Fire until you get powercast. Insanity is your bread and butter until you get your level 6 and 7 spells. Give him 2 amulets of Health (heal all) and he's nearly as good as a priest at healing. Rely on potions and rest to get rid of status effects (except insanity and such, which he can heal).

I have been maxing my Psionicist Int and Sense because the description for Sense says that it is needed for Psionics. Was this a bad decision? Likewise, what do I need to maximize for my Ninja to start getting critical hits (a critical hit ability of nearly 60, and I have yet to see one!!!!!) Smokefoot |

I am using both a Ninja and a Psionic. For the Psionic I have not put any points in sense and do not see any problems. I have put all points in Int first, speed and Piety second. BTW I just got power cast at I think Level 12. For a ninja you need to pump his speed and senses as they drive critical hits. I think senses has more to do with it than speed as my ranger has about the same critical hit ability but has alomst maxed senses and gets more critical hits. (one more level for Eagle Eye). I am not exactly sure of the effect of speed or senses on critical hits but I know both are needed. Right clicking on Critical Says speed and senses are the base attributes. Hope this helps. |
