kangaxx for sure. Beholders are ok if you get Baldurs Shield or if you know where they are, cloudkill em from a distance.

Well, can't say exactly now. I would have said that Kangaxx, but I spanked him yesterday without much of troubles. Only Minsc got Imprisoned, because his "berserk" state went off in mid-fight. Oh well, good thing I didn't inscribe that Freedom scroll I had on Aerie, as she cannot yet cast it. Would have been fubared, since I cannot even recall in which store it would be on sale. And I cannot even recall from where I got this single scroll.. Anyways, got him down good. Took a bit of time though, since apparently only one who could hit that schmuk was Jaheira with her Sling of Everard. Jaheira hit Kangaxx for 1, then 1, then 1 more, then 1... Ehh, eventually he died heheh..

Then I had one other big fight with casters ahead. You see, I had done all the quests there was to be done, all what I had in journal and all the quests with all the NPC's who joined my party. Not only that, my romance with Jaheira was over as well and she was wearing the Harper Pin. And I yet had to take the ship to Brynlaw. But I could not yet take it, since I wanted to get it over with Anomen, his "knighthood" quest. But bloody macrel, no-one came and called him to be judged, and I really had nothing else to do anymore. So I decided to have some fun with Cowled Wizards. Zapped some Shield spell on Aerie and they came (to fight, I already got a warning long time before that). Well, after few waves of those usual wizards, one more of those schmuks came and told a la "Ha! Now yer dead, prepare to fight the highest ranking members of our order", or something to that extent. Big spells started to fly. I even had to reload once, the lil' problem what occurs when the Enrage wears off of a main char at wrong time. Whoops. So I reloaded and made sure that it gets on at the right time, and this time I beated them. Nothing too fancy came out of it though, but at least I saved 5K and can cast spells now freely in Amn..

As for pesky fights - I find the fights with these Adamantite golems tad pesky. Aint hard as such, I always beat them, but pesky. I have 3 items out of 4 needed for Crom Faeyr, also Flail of Ages. But my chars, none of them, is really potent (i.e. proficient enough) to use them well, not to mention that main char is the toughest, who can take some beating from them. I cannot check right now, since I am at work, but funny thing is that the Hammer of Thunderbolts +3 doesn't seem to do Blunt damage or what? With it in main hand, char kept screaming "I cannot do any damage", switched then the hands with the Flail of Ages +3 and I could do damage, from 3 to 4 points per hit heh.. Then again I don't know, Hammer of Thunderbolts +3 did work on Clay Golems. Questions, questions..

Illithids were pesky too, yes, but not too bad. Main char soloed them. Speed him up, Draw Holy Might, Boots of Speed, Enrage and charge! Oh, forget, take a sip of Potion of Genius and that other one, which adds +3 to INT and DEX (forgot the name). During fight keep checking your INT, somewhere when I was 3/4th thru the first illithid place, my INT was down to 6, so I gulped another Potion of Genius.

So, here are - few pesky, but none too hard or none as a pain in the a**. I however have the benefit of knowing what I face and where, because I have been through the game 2 times before. That certainly is a bonus.

Actually if you use the sling with Anomen, i think you could hit for 2 or 3, he has 2 proficiency on sling i think.

That house in the bridge district where you open the door and have a rogue stone in your possesion.BAM warp into this battle and BAM me and my party were dead.Being that you can enter this battle very early on, experience wise and totally unexpectedly, it gets my vote.

Morgan_Corbesant 12-07-2001 03:22 AM

the cat that i ran into in the slums district!!! actually, i would say the battle for the celestial fury. i did it with a level 10 assassin when i was soloing (never been in that place before) and died in a matter of seconds. definately a hard battle at that stage.

How about the hardest to fight using no offensive and defensive spells???!!! anyone????

I guess for me the hardest to defeat is Dragons!!!!!

i tried to defeat them the cheese way and and very ( as in very hard) way hash and slash only

even with spells i'll have to agree with u all.......

KANGAXX really is a pain in the a**

Irenicus isn't the hardest one. Dragons are sometimes hard to beat, but last time I did that it was too easy (solo sorceror). But, Kangaxx may be the hardest one (and definetly then if U dont have protection scrolls).

Ezekial 02-03-2002 06:31 PM

Umm..Kangaxx as a single enemy..Twited rune as a group, then the ones with the Fury...

I hate twisted rune!!!

Liche + timestop+wail, beholder, mage+timestop+meteor shower+gate AND vampyr+4 levels drained...have to micro manage fight :(

Kikakee 02-03-2002 11:20 PM

I don't know about that Ezekial, when I defeated the Twisted Rune Gang, I used one tank with the cloak of mirroring to fight everyone but the liche. the rest of my attacker's used ranged weapons, and I (a mage) cast breach and the like, on the liche. Minsc didn't seem to mind being alone, and took out the beholder first, then the vamp, before the liche went down. Of course, everyone was Lvl8+, but then there's no good reason to go any earlier anyway.
