I must admit that I'm getting curious why they haven't secured a publisher yet.
Why does it take so long to find one?

When all is said and done, one must assume that Sir-Tech is waiting on a high enough bidder (unless they have found one already). This would explain the cone of silence. When you are trying to play one party off another for a higher price, you must keep your news on the subject at a low profile so as to keep bidders insulated from one another, while at the same time hyping the wonders of your product to the potential market to create the demand needed to attract bidders. This is exactly what S-T has been doing for a year or two.

Remember, S-T (as far as can be gleaned) has financed the whole project themselves, without the backing of a confirmed publisher. This gave them the creative autonomy they desired, but then makes it more difficult to secure a publisher who is willing to take the finished product as-is, and at the price demanded by a developer who has lots of design costs to recoup and profit from. If S-T bet the farm on this one, they can't settle for anything less than the jackpot.
