The Pope, to my knowledge, has never spoken out againts the books. On a side note, i saw a poster at the movie theatre for the Order of the Phoenix

<font color=skyblue>Actually, the previous pope is the one you're referring to. The new pope does condemn the books. I did a google just now and was surprised/saddened that pope Benedict XVI takes a different stand on them. </font>
