That's my point exactly. He's going to die, there's no way to change that. Instead of worrying about something that can't be avoided, I'd rather worry about what can still happen.
I know if I was the one dying, I'd want to be remembered, I would like to leave something lasting behind me, and I'd want to finish what I spent a big chunk of my life working on.
