By the gods!! Just found out our local theatre won't air the bloody flick... Now I have to go to the Pate cinema in Grūningen with superior sound, superior visuals and better seats! Life is so, so hard.......

He has gone further than anyone ever of turning the anime art form into live action -- complete with wonderfully choreographed over-the-top fights and lots of overly-spurting blood. If you like anime you will love this flick.deserves her revenge, and may have it.

In case you couldn't clue into this, the only reason there was anime in there was to keep the rating from hitting nc-17. There's no way a scene could have a kid riding a pedophile that promptly kill's him in 'free action' cinema and still keeps an R, it had to be cartoon and it works perfectly.

I agree with everything else you say, fantastic film. best revenge movie ever.

</font>
Yeah, you're right I guess. I dunno -- if they didn't show nudity I think you could do it live action.

Anyway, do you agree with my thought that it is anime-turned-live-action?

BTW, did anyone else wonder why one of the 88 didn't just pull out a gun?

Djinn Raffo 10-15-2003 01:11 PM

Yeah i do.. but i also wonder how much anime is inspired by old Toho films which seem to be more of the muse for Kill Bill than anything else.

It's all about honor. We western devils would never understand such an insignificant concept

What's a "Toho" film?

Maybe Quentin just listened to too much Bare Naked Ladies:
Like Kurasawa, I make mad films
Okay, I don't make films
But if I did they'd have a Samurai
