Well, I was male when I woke up this morning, so I'll stay a he (at least for today ). Thanks for being considerate, Pirengle... although I don't feel I've been spoiled yet, since there's so much left for me to do, and I've been looking at a couple of walkthroughs.

Last night was some fun gaming... got down to the third level of the mines before the damage I'd taken started to catch up, so we headed back up to find a place to rest. Then we ran back to Beregost to empty our packs... man, am I carrying around a ton of books! Are there any that I can safely toss (having already complete the "coin" quest)? Or the other way... are there any I should definitely keep?

Right now, Stumblebum is carrying around three Ankheg heads for the possible purpose of making armor later, but is there any place I can safely stow them? Three inventory slots is one thing, but 300 pounds is quite another :D

Aside from that, just wandering around and enjoying ourselves, we are... except for that wimpy bard who keeps asking if we could be less evil. The nerve... :D

Don't keep any of those books. There are a few quests for books throughout the game, but you'll be able to get them once you get the quest. You don't need any of them right now.

If you find a barrel or something outside of a building, you can place the ankheg heads in there. Just remember where the barrel (or whatever you put it in) is and you'll be fine.

Hence the Fighter/Mage multiclass being (arguably) the most powerful possible character throughout the whole series.

Have fun this first time through, Bung. It'll never be this good again.

</font>
Actually I'd give this one to the Fighter/Mage DUAL class, more HP and the ability to choose a kit swings it ;)

Actually, if you are playing through the entire series, I would debate that with you. The multiclassed character will be stronger in BG1 and ToB (but weaker in SoA). In ToB, multiclass characters rule. However, dual classes are nothing to sneeze at, either... ;)

I always tend to go for long term power characters (aka. powergamed characters).

Quite simply, in the long run the dual classed character is more powerful - even if it is just down to HP and the chance to select a class.
