Also, Rand is the less present character, we only see him in one chapter or so...

It's still a good book. We see Mat the most, then Elayne and Egwene.

As I mentioned to you before, no plot movement in the last 3 (now) books is why I have given up on the "Flat Tire" of Time books. I have read them all up to this book and even though I had the opportunity to buy it at 40% off I passed. Unfortunately your comments just confirmed my fears. I'm just glad I got of this bus. (It wasn't hard 'cause it ain't moving.)

Well... the book was certainly interesting to read, if a little low on content, but in the next book, there is going to be lot of plot elements moving. All characters are just about to do their things, I see no way he can make us wait any longer. I'm 100% sure the next one will have more action than all the other novels combined.

I won't fall for it again. You can only break my heart so many times. To quote an old Who song, "We won't get fooled again.".

Well... I'll buy it, and then I will tell the people of Ironworks if it's good or not.

I don't know Luvian...I've heard brilliant things about the first 5 or 6 books, then they seemed to really slow down to a glacial pace. It's kind of deterred me from starting these, considering I'm reading the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind which is apparently quite a similar scenario. I'm up to the 5th book so far and each book has been fully action-packed. What I've heard about WoT is that Rob Jordan's decided to milk it as a cash cow for all it's worth and will probably finish around Book 19 or 20 - I can't wait that long for a series!! What are your thoughts on the series?

I really like The Wheel of Time series. Sure, things slowed down, but I like that, to, if I didn't have to wait 1 year beween every new books.

His books are good, and there was anough action in the last one, just not the action we are waiting for. Great events are about to happen, so next to them, everything else seem a little less interesting.

The problem is not the books, it's the wait. If I could go buy the 11th now, I would, and I would be very happy to get it. But that's not how it work, sadly. It probably won't come out before another year or so.

Honestly, I hope he will keep writing them forever, I hope for at least 50 of them, if he can quicken the pace of both his publishing and is storyline. He should release 3-4 a year instead one only 1.
