<font color="yellow">Well, technically, the Ferengi made contact with earth in the 1950s in Roswell New Mexico. In one episode(can't remember the title), we're told that the famous UFO crash landing was in fact a Ferengi ship! :D

Even so, one can argue that they weren't officially discovered and identified until much later.

Well in Enterprise the Prime Directive does not exist, yet. Many of the dilemas that Archer and co have been facing are things that will lead to it being adopted. That's one of the things I like about Enterprise, is they are exploring some of the roots of things that are 'gospel' in the later series.

<font color="yellow">Thanks for the episode title Sir Golum.

Another thing that bothers alot of people about the Star Trek Universe is the timeline. There have been opposing views regarding how the "stardate" is to be determined taking into account the discrepencies between ST:TOS, ST:NG, DS9, ST:Voyager, not to mentions the TOS movies right up until the Next Gen movies as well as the comic books, novels etc. etc.

It is not uncommon to discover that certain events in the timeline do not follow a chronological system just by refering to the "stardate" of the said event. Moreover, there seems to be a lack of a cohesive continuity between the books, series and movies. For example, the Kligon homeworld has been refered to in so many different names. Though most people prefer "Kronos".

Well, the Klingon homeworld is generally accepted to be "Kronos" (which is an English approximation of the proper pronunciation). I would imagine that there are multiple names due to multiple languages. What we call Japan, the Japanese call Nihon...

Berman's a moron. The star trek franchise has been going down the tubes since he took over. The proof? Just look at Nemesis.

I haven't seen Nemesis yet. Is it that bad?

In a word: yes.

Was there even a plot? If you're a die hard fan, go see it. But it gives data way too much screen time, and rehashes the same-old same-old thats been hased out in 17 previous episodes of TNG. Forget the "science" in "science fiction" as well.

So Riker and Deanna tie the knot. Why does the whole crew have to follow them on the honeymoon?!?
