The movie had about 6 satanist stereotype hooligans, which they really should´ve left out. The movie also had a horrible(as in bad, not scary) soundtrack. |
OK, then I've got the wrong ones. The first one I described was Dawn of the Dead, the second was Day of the Dead. I thought they were the only other two in the 'Night of the Living Dead' series. Oh well.

The full color remake of 'Night of the Living Dead' was very well done and followed the original script to the letter.
Personally I would love for them to make another 'Evil Dead' movie, Ash is da MAN |

May I ask why? They were in no means "High Art" but pretty funny to say the least.
BTW My horror film loves are all Saturday "Dr. Shock" classics. The pure gore fests really aren't my thing. |
Well. I watched the first Evil Dead and the special effects were laughable. It had no point, nothing that happened was logical, and it was just boring.
However, if you want laughter, try getting some horror movies instead of comedies. There is a funny one called 'Worm Eaters' which is about a town of people who eat worms. Yes, that is about it. Watch out, Wurm ;) Zombie Flesh-Eaters was the funniest movie I've seen. It was dubbed, which makes it funny by default. Funny bits include: 1. The people were heading for Zombie island. On the way, one of the girls decides to strip nude for no reason and go swimming. My friend and his brother, who were also watching made some predictions. My friend said that she would cut herself on coral, his brother said there would be a shark, and I said there would be an aqua-zombie. We all doubted that these predictions would come true. But they all did. 2. I know that the zombies are right behind us and will catch us soon, but I'll wait here alone while you guys go scout ahead. Yawn. I'm tired, I think I'll lie down and have a nap. 3. This bit really cracked me up. At the end of the movie the characters escape Zombie island in a boat and head for the mainland. While on their way there, they decide to turn the radio on. Even though they are in Asia, the radio station in New York comes on. This is what was said: Zombies have taken over New York. They are everywhere and are killing everything in sight. Oh, no, I've just received word that the zombies are in the building! Gods, no, they are here, they're in the room, plea-AaaaHaaaaHaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAH. Classic. [ 11-08-2002, 02:57 AM: Message edited by: pcgiant ] |

I actually liked Return of the Living Dead. Horror movies dont scare me anyways and I thought it kinda funny (part 2 I couldnt stand, btw). It came out when I was in high school, and I didnt like any of the previous ones though. To me they took themselves way too seriously.
BTW I liked how Retun started off more as a comedy but by the end it got fairly gruesome (but still kept a slight sense of humor). Dont even think it was the first of bad horror movies, they've been making those since they've been making movies. Oh well, opinions are like a$$holes. Everybody has one :) |
Ever since Resident Evil, zombies have been my favourite monsters. I think it would be scarier in a city filled with zombies than being attacked by a vampire or whatever. It's just they eventually swarm you, you never know where they are, they're not fast but they are everywhere, that's scarier than one single powerful creature.
