The Tick was pure genius. It's too bad comedy central isn't showing it any more :(

SPOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNN!

What!? That can't be! You say there won't be coming any new Futurama episodes 'cross the ocean? This is a real sad day. :(
I love Futurama and the Simpsons, Matt Groening must be the biggest genius in modern history. Who can remember the song "see my vest"?
Or hermes' bureaucrat song? If these cartoons wouldn't exist, there would be something missing in my life.

Family Guy and Futurama were extremely funny, both got cancelled. Now to the Simpsons. My fav episode is MR. Burns Softball team with Ozzie Smith, Ken Griffey Jr, and all those guys. Then, the tennis court episode

Kent Brockman- But the real winner, is Marge's Ordorves.
Homer- Wow, how do you come up with such witty remarks.

You see a little Microphone in Kents ear and then a truck in the front yard. Inside the truck "Come on, hurry up!" You see a guy typing, and then shows the guy what it says. "You might say, its my rackets.
Kent mishears it- You might say, I'm Iraqui.
Homer- Gasp, Get off of my property.

Then, when Bart goes to Canada. They are on a bus
Marge- Oh, i see you drive on the left up here.
Canadian Driver- No mamn, I'm drunk.

Later on in the episode, Skinner Spoofing Seinfeld
Skinner- How come you always run out of tardy slips before you do permission slips
Audience Member- How come you suck?
Skinner- I lack confidence.

There's also the stoner episode, where homer gets on Medical Marijuana, one of my fav.

Then the one where they are trapped in the school due to a huge blizzard.

I remember parts of it

See my vest, see my vest, made of authentic guerilla chest.

Bear underwear, put a poodle on my noodle if its good.
Like my loafers former gofers.

I love the Simpsons but they are running out of idea's.
And how could they cancel Futurama. That was the only show that came even close to the Simpsons.

Bender: That plot makes perfect sense. Wink, wink.
Dr. Zoidberg: Bender, you said 'wink, wink' out loud.
Bender: No I didn't. Raise middle finger.

[After being kicked out of a theme park.]
Bender: Forget your stupid theme park! I'm gonna make my own! With hookers! And blackjack! In fact, forget the theme park!

Do u remember this?

Homer: Are you saying you're never going to eat any animal again? What about bacon?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Ham?
Lisa: No!
Homer: Pork chops?
Lisa: Dad, those all come from the same animal!
Homer: Heh heh heh... ooh... yeah... right, Lisa. A wonderful... magical animal.

I liked the Simpsons and Futurama, but BY FAR the best animated series I have ever seen is the anime series Cowboy Bebop.

Its an SF series set in the future where civilization on Earth has been destroyed by a Gateway accident, and humanity survives living on various colonies and space stations throughout the solar system.

The hero(ine)s of the series are bounty hunters who all have mysterious pasts that catch up with them at the end of the series.

Anybody remembers the Stonecutter song from the Simpsons?

Jim 10-14-2002 07:43 AM

I've always found Futurama to be funnier than the Simpsons although they're both great. Futurama has been cancalled but they have enough episodes to make one more series .

As for past masters, does anybody remember the "Mysterious Cities of Gold", an old series from the early 1980's? It was Japanese/Spanish/French in origin and was soooooo good. And that intro music! Not many people remember it until they see the intro when it all becomes clear :D .
